Peter Glover 1945 - 2024

The RFU has paid tribute to former England and Bath wing, Peter Glover, who has died aged 79.

His three England caps came between 1967 and 1971, his debut being against Australia at Twickenham Stadium in 1967. At that time, as an officer in the RAF, he was playing for the Royal Air Force and Yorkshire.

Peter played alongside the likes of John Spencer, David Duckham, Nigel Starmer-Smith and Stack Stevens for England against the President’s Overseas XV, marking the RFU centenary in 1971 and was part of the team which drew 14-14 with France that year. He played for Harrogate from 1972 to 1974, also played for Bedford, as well as 41 games for Bath.
