Red Roses schedule for WXV 1 announced
England will face the USA, New Zealand and Canada.
The Red Roses will begin the defence of their WXV 1 title against USA on Sunday 29 September at BC Place Stadium, Vancouver, Canada (KO 20:30 BST).
As well as facing the USA, England will play New Zealand on Sunday 6 October (KO 21:00 BST) before taking on hosts Canada on Sunday 13 October (KO 03:00 BST). Guinness Women’s Six Nations rivals France and Ireland make up the remaining teams in WXV 1.
Having won last season's inaugural edition, John Mitchell’s side secured qualification to WXV 1 for a second time by winning a sixth consecutive Six Nations title.
At last year’s tournament, England beat Australia and Canada before avenging their Rugby World Cup final defeat by beating the Black Ferns 33-12 to claim the title.
Before travelling to Vancouver, the Red Roses will also host two internationals to prepare for WXV 1. They will play France at Kingsholm Stadium on Saturday 7 September (KO 14:30 BST), before facing New Zealand, at Twickenham Stadium (KO 14:30 BST) a week later.
Tickets for both matches are on sale via englandrugby.com/tickets.
